The design of the new IX3 is an open secret. Apart from the BMW’s own preview with the Vision New Class X concept, we have seen prototypes that were carried out tests. The styling of the production version also appeared in a design brand in November 2024. The grainy pictures appeared again in much better quality last month. Now the design brand has turned into what we think is an exact presentation.
Here you can see a realistic interpretation of the first modern Nee -class model. We have to wait until autumn to compare the digital design exercise with the official IX3. We can all agree that it doesn’t look like the outgoing Clar-based IX3. BMW has undertaken to take on a cleaner, smooth design language, as the concept of the past year and the vision of new class sedan from 2023 shows.

The upright radiator grille with vertical kidneys is not exaggerated as with some current SUVs. I look at you, ix. The rendering shows an M -Performance version, which is probably called IX3 M60. It is rumored that a full fat is also in the works, but it should later arrive in the life cycle. We like what we see here, which certainly offers more pizza food than the black and white patent pictures that tend to make all cars look boring.
While the design is subjective, the new styling approach in terms of efficiency will be better. BMW estimates that the slimmer body, which was confirmed with aerodynamically optimized bikes, will sometimes contribute to a total thrust of the vehicle fulfillment of 20%. However, the sixth generation’s batteries and electric motors will carry out heavy lifting.
The Bavarian brand does not give up crossover coupes in the new class era. We have heard that an IX4 is on the road by giving the IX3 an oblique roof line. A more dynamic profile could further improve the efficiency for the additional range. As with sports activities coupés, the IX4 is probably less rear headroom and a smaller freight area.
The revised IX3 will be on sale at the end of this year at the end of this year, but the IX4 will arrive at the earliest in 2027.
