The XM has suspended a lot of criticism, but it is one of these cars that do not leave it indifferent. The polarizing design makes the plug-in hybrid M emphasize immediately by the harvest of SUVs. For 2026, BMW optimizes the electrified giant by introducing several new options, some of which are exhibited at Le Mans this weekend.

Frozen Tanzanit Blue has been part of the individual catalog for some time, but it has never been offered on the dedicated M model. Since we are in Europe, it is worth noting that the model year 2026 increases the standard radius size from 21 to 22 inches. BMW, however, was able to match the exhibition car in Le Mans with a new 23-inch set.
New wheels, new colors, new leather


In Jet Black and with the code name 1096 m it is the most expensive radopation on the old continent. In Germany, BMW wants € 2,000 or € 300 more than the existing 23-inch wheels (923 m). In the United States, the 2026 model with 23-inch alloys is, although it is not yet clear whether the new set will result in additional costs.
The hotter label version is shown here, the V8-V8-V8-V8 after the regular model. BMW spreads the cabin by introducing a new Night Blue Merino leather option. It is also an individual upgrade and complements the frozen tanzanite blue exterior. In the future, the XM will be delivered by default with rear seat cushion in the same color as the seats itself. If the dark blue interior is not your style, BMW offers two additional individual combinations: Silverstone Merino leather with black surfaces and black merinol leather with vintage brown accents.


The XM label begins on its domestic market at 183,400 €. However, the few available options can increase the price within the range of € 200,000. For those who want to avoid breaking the bank, the XM 50E begins with a more appropriate € 133,800. However, the large V8 is missing, so you have to be satisfied with an inline-six. Although the entry-level variant is a high-fat M car, it does not have an M engine. Instead of the S58 it sticks with the B58.
After his public debut at Circuit de la Sarthe this weekend, the 2026 XM will reach the assembly line in August. BMW will publish price details for the United States closer to the start of production. Before introducing the eccentric SUV, BMW predicted that the United States would be the largest market that is 26% of sales. China was expected to follow 23%, while Germany and South Korea took 7%, which took fourth place.
