BMW disguises the M135 hot hatch in Shakir Orange

We obsessed the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, but there was a car that we almost missed. Sure, the 1 series is not exactly headlines, but this is not a typical F70. BMW brought one of the most expensive versions that can buy money. It is not only the M -Performance variant, but also several options that quickly increase the price.

By far the most striking upgrade is the individual paint. Shakir Orange III. Maybe you remember the F10 M5 or the F13 M6 of the past decade. We recently saw it on the G99 M5 tour, and in any case the car makes it immediately pop.

As expected, Shakir Orange is not cheap. With this British M135 it costs an additional £ 3,425, while it costs € 3,900 at home in Germany at home. The pulsating color complements a combination of a black roof and rear spoiler, for which BMW is of course additionally charged. The Goodwood Show car also contained optional 19-inch tangling wheels (Style 1085 m) and M composite brakes.

Now that the M135 Sport Quad exhaust and an m badge on the renal grille is more striking than any 1 series before. The same applies to the interior, where an illuminated M logo with integrated headrests with integrated headrests with integrated headrests. M-thematic seams in the dashboard complete the look. It is easy to confuse it for a real M car if you are not a die -hard BMW fan. Even the badge on the tailgate has enlarged “M” and “1” figures compared to the rest. But that’s not a M1, not through a long shot.

Although the United Kingdom left the European Union in 2020, the British M135 uses the same in the closure as an EU counterpart in the deceased B48 engine. The 2.0-liter petrol unit of Turboch makes 296 hp, while it produces 312 hp in non-EU markets. Why the difference? As you probably suspected, stricter emission regulations in Europe. This power gap also affects other compact models for M performance, including the X1 M35i, X2 M35i and M235 Gran Coupé.

BMW said nothing about the revival of the 128ti front-wheel drive sports hatch to fight against the Volkswagen Golf GTI. The M135 is currently the only performance-oriented version of the fourth generation 1 series.
