Despite some youngest markets against the market for the market for the market, BMW is established, with the BMW IX in the 2025 US Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) study of JD Power highest. The IX led the Premium -EV category with a score of 790, followed by the BMW i4 (783) and the Rivian R1S (770).
EV owner satisfaction on the advance


The EVX owner study checks EV owners in 10 key factors in the first year, including battery price, loading access, owner costs, driving pleasure, security, technology and service experience. General satisfaction rose compared to the previous year, with the premiums EVs an average of 756 (compared to 750) and mass market EVs on average 725 (compared to 718).

While BMW dominated the premium category, Hyundai secured first place in the mass market EV segment with the Ioniq 6 (751), followed by the KIA EV6 (743) and the Chevrolet Equinox eV (737). Despite increasing satisfaction, the study shows the continuing challenges in public charge infrastructure and uncertainty in connection with EV tax credits. More than half of the EV buyers mentioned tax incentives as the main reason for the purchase of what the JD -Power for predicting the EV in 2025.
However, 94% of BEV owners stated that they will probably remain at EVS for their next vehicle, which increases long-term trust in the market. In addition, BEV buyers benefit from Tesla Supercharger and help to improve the satisfaction of the public charging processes, especially in the mass market segment.
The upcoming 2026 BMW IX Facelift, which offers improved seats and more power supply, could further improve the satisfaction of the owners in the study next year.
