While the design remains subjective, BMW has worked to ensure that the IX M70 stands out from the rest of the IX installation. The M -Performance model has a unique kidney grille with vertical bars, a m -badge and more dynamic styling information. Standard on the M70 are exclusive 22-inch alloy wheels, while even larger 23-inch wheels are available as an option.

For those who are looking for an even more courageous presence, BMW offers the M Sport Professional Package in the entire IX area, which includes dark M shadow lines and tag lights. However, the IX M70 is equipped with these elements standard and further differs with an M logo, black exterior mirror caps and its own exclusive M lighting wheels.

Significantly improved seats

Perhaps the most impressive upgrade in the 2026 BMW IX are the newly designed seats. In previous models, the seat bases were neglected for larger drivers and offer minimal thigh support. BMW has addressed this complaint with the new seats that offer improved support for the increase and more extensive adaptation options, including the backrest width and lumbar support.

The standard seats of the IX M70 have a combination of Atlas Gray/Black Mikrofiber and Sensatec padding with M-specific stitches and the Signature BMW M Tri-Color accents. The optional upgrades include Amido Natural Leather or Castanea Natural Leather for those who are looking for a more luxurious feeling.
