BMW M Drift Academy for India announced

BMW fan or not, we can all agree on one thing: rear-wheel cars are simply more fun. Even the XDRIVE models from BMW M can be just as tailored thanks to a special 2WD mode. And now, for enthusiasts in India who have not yet mastered the art of sideways, the M Drift Academy from BMW is here to help.

The two-day drifting event will take place in Mumbai from April 26th to 27th. The stars of the show will be the M2 and M4 as a track toy. Certified BMW instructors lead the participants through theoretical lessons and, above all, practical route sessions.

The participants learn the essentials of the drift, from basic control techniques to the execution of semi-circular drift to combating a figure-eight layout. It is just about learning to master the strength, predict the film and keep it cool.

After burning rubber and M2 and M4 in smoke machines, the participants are invited after the party BMW M after the hours. This celebration of all things that follow the three and a half hours of training in the two cars with Vredestein tires. The after party includes food, cocktails and even a drifting show.

Although the M-Drift Academy in India is new, it is a well-established program in Europe. The prices start at 490 € and can increase to € 1,490 for advanced meetings. The expensive full-day experience includes taxi rounds in an M4 coupé and a technical dive into the G82. The next European meeting is locked up for November at the BMW M Driving Academy in Maisach in Germany.

Similar to the M4, it is expected that his smaller brother will get the XDRIVE treatment. When the M2 arrives with all-wheel drive in 2026, it will probably be sold alongside the current RWD model. Better still, the manual gearbox remains in the two -wheeler. If you want the M2 XDrive, it will be sold strictly with an automatic.
