BMW’s performance department continues to run at full speed. In the first nine months of 2025, BMW M recorded a global sales increase of 7.9%, making it one of the BMW Group’s most important growth drivers this year. The strong result underlines the continued appeal of BMW’s high-performance range – from the compact duo M2 and M3/M4 to the M SUVs and the electrified M Performance models.
The Munich-based automaker reported that its total deliveries rose 2.4% year-to-date, reaching 1,795,734 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles. “We have the right factors for continued success: a technology-neutral approach, exciting products, a strong global presence and outstanding innovative ability,” said BMW boss Oliver Zipse. “With BMW M and our electrified vehicles as the main growth drivers, we continue to deliver solid results in all markets.”
BMW M plays an important role in this year’s growth

In parallel with the M increase of 7.9%, deliveries of electrified vehicles also rose by 15% and now account for 26.2% of all BMW Group sales. All-electric models accounted for 18% of total volume, while in Europe this share rose to an impressive 25.5%.
Looking to the future, BMW M will continue to play a central role in the coming New Class era. While the fully electric BMW iX3 is the first model in the New Class in 2026, future M derivatives are already in development. A BMW iX3 M (or simply called X3 M) will launch between 2027 and 2028, followed by the first all-electric M3, codenamed ZA0.

BMW M GmbH also recorded its best first half-year sales of all time with almost 105,962 deliveries worldwide through June. This figure represents a 6.5% increase over the same period in 2024 and puts the M division on track to break another annual sales record.
This follows a record year in 2024, in which BMW M delivered 206,582 vehicles worldwide – an all-time high. Of these, 66,805 were full-fledged M models, the rest fell under the M Performance umbrella.
