BMW will run at least eight new class models by 2028. The second generation’s IX3 is off the series production in the DEBRECEN plant. The pre-production in the brand new Hungarian factory began in November 2024. In the late 2025, the i3 sedan will also be in preparations in Germany before a market launch in 2026.
The first electrical limousines are completed in the pilot plant of the BMW Group Research and Innovation Center (FIZ). Employees from the Munich factory will be there to support the project and ensure the smooth end. In addition, experienced workers from the location in Munich will work with their colleagues from the Debrecen location.

We are reminded that the German factory will only get electric vehicles from 2027. It effectively means that the 3 Series are no longer built there. As already reported, the “G20” is replaced by the “G50”, which is allegedly manufactured in Dingolfing. The current model will be discontinued in October 2026, with the 3 Series tour “G21” will retire in February 2027. The new “G50” has a rumor of the start of production in November 2026, although a car will probably follow shortly.
Speaking of long-term models, BMW should also plan an i3 tour. Logic tells us that one is also done in Munich. We have heard that the electrical limousine bears the internal code name “Na0” while the car is “Na1”. The crossover we mentioned at the beginning is “Na5” and will probably produce a slim IX4 as “Na7”. It is generally assumed that all of these Nee-class models receive M-fat versions. In fact, BMW has already confirmed that an electric M3 is on the road.
In addition to the Fabriken from Debrecen and Munich, the production of new class from 2026 will also perform in China. The work in San Luis Potosi in Mexico will produce the NK-based IX3 from 2027. Although BMW promised at least six EVs from the Spartanburger site by 2030, clarify whether all this part of the new leash in the leash does not belong from the Nee-Kases. Three will be on the Clar architecture: IX5, IX6 and IX7. The first EV in Spartanburg comes in 2026.
