When BMW showed the driving experience of vision last month, it made it clear that the car would not go into production. Still, we can have innocent fun, right? Our exclusive rendering predicts a future that will never happen – a VDX that customers could buy. We have now digitally broken down the camouflage from the wild prototype.

Although the VDX has no chance of beating dealers, we imagine that the electrical M3 will inherit some treats. However, spy photos of the “ZA0” indicate that it does not look nearly as dramatic as the concept. To be honest, this is probably the better one, since the VDX has been too canceled for our taste. Nevertheless, we imagine that some would buy the car as it is.

Even this crazy concept is ahead of a new look for the BMW of tomorrow. The VDX occupies a smooth design because it is based on the concept of 2023 vision new class. Most of the body looks clean as soon as they remove the radical aero parts from the equation. It is essentially what the new i3 (“Na0”) and in a broader sense will also have the electrical M3.

While this only exists in a fantasy country, the VDX is as real as possible. BMW will present the vision driver’s experience at Auto Shanghai 2025, which will take place in China from April 23 to May 2. For a street car that can wear some similarities, the electric M3 comes in 2027. It will follow the regular i3 sedan that will be for sale next year.

The electric M3 opens the locks for other fully cars without an internal combustion engine. An M version of the upcoming IX3 is in the works if our sources are correct. The still inhabited i3 Touring and IX4 should also produce hotter derivatives. BMW will probably also give every four m performance versions. Ideally, there will be a time when the M division also launches a sporty electric coupé.
