Leave it luxury car brands to always find new ways to calculate your customers more. In the defense of BMW, the new ultimate package for the X5 m and X6 m bundles a variety of functions that would cost even more if they are bought individually. It is the most expensive option for these high-performance SUVs in Germany for € 17,900. It contains no less than 17 upgrades. So what do you get?
From the driver package of the M driver to a carbon engine coverage, the ultimate package corresponds to its name by creating the ultimate versions of the X5 m and the X6 m. It also contains the panorama sky lounge roof, the heated and cooled cup holders and the soft-close doors. Still not convinced? BMW increases use with massaging and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. Even the front door armrests and the center console are heated and the steering wheel.
But that’s not all. These muscular SUVs are also equipped with a 20 spokesman, 1.475 watt-bowers & Wilkins sound system and side sun shadows for the rear doors. The package is rounded off, the carbon mirror caps, the ambient air package and the acoustic glass for the windshield and the front doors. The icing on the cake is a rear spoiler, although it is exclusively for the X6 M.
BMW has also not overlooked practicality. The package includes a luggage compartment setup with fastening networks, electric roller blind and anti-slip rails. There is also the Travel & Comfort System, which adds USB-C connections to the back of the front seats.
The ultimate package may be one of the final updates for the current generation X5 and X6. We discovered the previous tests in the form of 2026 in the next generation (G65). BMW also plans another X5 M as a G95. The Swoopy X6 (G66) follows in 2028, about a year after the redesigned three-row X7 (G67).
It is worth noting that X5 and X6 are not the first models that receive the ultimate package. BMW presented the option last year with the M5, where it is available in an even steeper € 21,060 or € 21,340 if you choose the tour.
