Buyers Neuer 2025 Modells Vehicles report according to the 30th annual JD Power Us Apeal study. For the first time since the study was changed in 2020, the results have been improved in all ten measured categories – including design, driving experience and user -friendliness. This year also marked the first time in almost a decade that every single area of the study a year agreed over the previous year.
Among the individual vehicles, the BMW X6 took the highest overall rank and took the top position in all segments. The SUV in the BMW CoupĂ© style replaces last year’s winner of the BMW 7 series. Interestingly, the buyers evaluated the design of the X6 higher than the traditionally designed 7 -series series – and fought that the brave design with the owners swung more.
BMW leads with five segment gains

BMW AG directed all manufacturers at Total Award on model level with five segment winners, including one from its mini brand:
- BMW X6
- BMW X1
- BMW X4
- BMW 4er
- Mini -Landsmann

The X4 and the Mini Landsmann have now won their segments for three years in a row. Mini, BMW’s sister brand, also repeated itself as a tailor-made brand mass market, while Porsche took over the category of the premium brand for the second time in a row.
The APEAL study (automotive performance, execution and layout) focuses on the owner’s answers in the first 90 days of property and records how well a new vehicle in areas such as layout, comfort, technology and driving pleasure meets expectations. It does not measure reliability or quality of service – this is treated in separate JD performance studies.
Important snack bars from the 2025 study
