BMW’s Advent calendar has a secret for December 24th

BMW is getting in the mood for the holidays with a digital Advent calendar. While this hardly qualifies as breaking news, there is a level of secrecy worth mentioning. The luxury automaker has assigned a specific car for each day in December. All models shown in the video are electric vehicles: i5 M60 Touring, i4 M50, iX2, iX1 and i7. However, the vehicle reserved for December 24th remains hidden in the shadows.

The Munich car manufacturer invites you to decode the car behind door 24. So what could it be? It has an SUV-like silhouette and is likely electric since all other models are electric vehicles. We can rule out a world premiere on Christmas Eve, as the next new class models will not come onto the market until sometime in 2026.

If BMW is teasing anything, it might be an upcoming electric vehicle. Your guess is as good as ours as to whether the clip points to a teaser for the iX5 or something else. It could even be the iX3 M60, considering we’ve only seen the 50 xDrive version so far. In 2026, BMW will also introduce the next generation of the 3 Series and the first i3 sedan sold worldwide.

Additionally, a redesigned 7 Series is on the way, along with an updated i7. But here too the video seems to allude to an X model. It wouldn’t make much sense to present the “G70” twice in the Advent calendar anyway.

Assuming BMW doesn’t unveil a future product, it could simply be the iX3 in a festive livery, perhaps with a few M Performance parts for added flair. Be that as it may, something interesting is clearly planned for December 24th. With the Bavarian brand building hype happening three weeks in advance, we hope it doesn’t disappoint.

In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye on BMW’s social media channels for further clues. Whatever the company has planned for Christmas Eve, logic suggests that it has nothing to do with the vehicles already shown in the video. More clips may be released between now and December 24th, and we’ll keep you posted if they do.
