After BMW invented “M Town” a few years ago, he has another marketing trick on his sleeve. It’s called “gen m” and his goal is to combine enthusiasts. Regardless of whether you prefer your M cars, burn gasoline or are driven by electricity, they are part of gene M. fans of classic designs with those who prefer the latest cars with the “most powerful letter in the world”.
In the tiny video shows 53 years of Heritage, from the glorious days of the 3.0-CSL E9 “Batmobils” to the do-it-all M5 G90. Spectators of eagle eyes will also recognize a white M2 F87 prototype, which we have previously tested with a fully electric drive train. BMW M Motorsport Works Driver Valentino Rossi briefly applies, as does the mayor of M Town, Frank van Meel. There is no shortage of racing cars, but our selection of the bunch is the M3 E30.

The so-called gene M-community even has its own principles according to which you can live:
- United by performance;
- The age does not define us. Do actions;
- We always switch off in a tunnel;
- Real communities do not need invitations. You just appear;
- Races are for the route.
- Everything that it is worth doing it is fanatic.
The M community grows after the sale. Last year, the performance ARM from BMW sold 206,582 vehicles, divided between 139,777 M performance cars and 66,805 woman, who marked the 13th year of growth, which was not so surprising in view of the frequency of M-Lite models. The i4 M50 (recently renamed i4 M60) has been the best -selling product for three years.
What’s next? BMW cooks an electric M3 and another model with gasoline. Unfortunately there are no plans for a spiritual successor to the M1, but almost every other segment is well covered. Well, an M -Pickup truck is missing, but how many would buy one at all?
