A deep immersion in the rarity and the special selection of the F87 BMW M2 CS
The F87 BMW M2 CS dropped the weight, increased the performance and ran ultra-exclusive. When BMW started communication with the even higher performance variant of the already sweet M2 in 2019, the brand said that the production figures would hover around 2,200 units. This is worldwide, mind you. Just a few days ago, new information appeared, which indicated that BMW went a little overboard and actually sold 2,381 examples. And it gets better. The person who put together the data also provided a departure, the color and transmission rates, sales by country and more.
BMW M2 CS production number highlights to land

As already mentioned, 2,381 examples of the F87 m2 CS found their way into customer hands around the world. M2 CS models were delivered in 60 different countries, with several examples of their area scheme. Although it is undoubtedly rare, it is a bit surprising that only a single M2 CS in markets such as Ireland and New Zealand will be sold. The most popular market was the United States and received the lion’s share of M2 CS sales, 621. Germany took second place, in which 563 cars, including the sole individual example, Birch Green Malts. Canada (103 units) and the United Kingdom (105 units) were third and fourth places.

If supposedly only four colors are offered, you could expect a rather uniform split when it comes to color. The data say something else. Alpine white is by far the rarest color on a F87 m2 CS, with only 273 examples being painted over the historic BMW color. 554 cars were painted black sapphirmetallic, which is about the 650 units in Hockenheim silver. The start color Misano Blue (understandably) was (understandably) the most popular with almost half of the F87 -M2 -CS production that saw the color color -903 units. After all, we have the one Birch Green M2 CS, which is documented as a unique for Steffen Krebs.
Interestingly, alpine white cars were also about the selection of the transmission for the selection. BMW sold 127 manual cars compared to 146 cars, which were equipped with the quick -shift double clutch transmission (DCT). Misano Blue cars are shared similarly: 415 manuals and 488 DCT. Black Sapphire and Hockenheim cars were more balanced: more automatic cars than manually. Only 172 Manual Black Sapphire cars sent compared to 382 DCT. For Hockenheim, the ratio was 226 manuals to an automatic 415 automatic automatic of 415. Unfortunately, one birch -green car is equipped with a DCT. A total of 940 manual cars were manufactured compared to 1,441 DCT cars.
An F87 BMW M2 CS with carbon brakes is quite rare

The final anecdote The data covers are the carbon ceramic brake. Ultimately, 753 cars were equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, while the remaining 1,628 cars are equipped with traditional steel steel. That sounds like a low take rate, we are ready to bet that it is much higher than numbers for models that regularly consider carbon ceramics as an option, such as the Millnd-Mill-M3 and M4 models.
