Not everything on BMWS was in Munich this week is about the IX3 of the IAA Mobility Show. And that is a good thing-during the purely electrical SUV that dominated the headlines, are some fans after a change. BMW delivered a lot of striking than a family crossing: a brand new M5 tour.
This long-term super sports car is finished in a breathtaking shadow of Daytona Violet and loaded with M power parts. The G99-Build carries a full carbon body kit, optional carbon ceramic brakes and possibly the most striking bikes in the current portfolio of BMW: the 1075 m design in frozen gold bronze. With your “Y” stitch layout and self-level center-caps-a-one trick, which has been borrowed from Rolls-Royce-these wheels sting the M5 touring in a hallway full of new metal.


This G99 is undoubtedly an exercise in opulence and an expensive one. In Germany, the final invoices have almost € 200,000, as soon as all extras are taken into account, up to the M brand tire valve stem caps. At some point there could be an even more expensive version if BMW ever decides to start an M5 -CS tour. Even if such a spicy variant is planned, don’t expect you to see it before the impulses of the life cycle.


It is believed that the Long roof M5 is subject to its LCI in mid-2027. Tared prototypes of the revised sedan have already been tested, but the car must appear in front of the lens of the car paparazzi of the car. Both body styles receive the new class treatment prescribed by the IX3. That means important changes from inside and outside. Depending on the taste, this could be good or bad news. Some prefer the current car with its construction language and its iDrive of the previous generation, while others are waiting for an M5 for an M5 with the fresh look and the avant -garde infotainment.
The new IX3 in addition to the X3 and M5 tour in IAA Munich shows how dramatically different BMWs will be. By the end of 2027, more than 40 new or updated models of the reborn new class line -up will join. This means that the portfolio will look very different in just two years. For the good or bad, both current and the next generation models will trace your descent to the new IX3.
The next cars to take over the treatment of new class in 2026. BMW will present the electrical i3 sedan and the Gasfuele 3-Seri siblings together with the X5 of the next generation and the 7 series told next year. Munich is certainly busy.
