Is Genesis for the M3? G70 Track Day special references to what comes next

The BMW M3 has long defined the standard in the compact performance sedan segment and deserves its strips on the Nürburgring and beyond. Now Genesis is testing the water of this territory – not with a production model, but with a bold concept car that is directly directed to the route. The G70 Track Day Special presented by Genesis Canada inspires itself from the brand of the brand. Although it is not (at least not yet) positioned as a direct M3 rival, it is an unmistakable sign that Genesis becomes more serious with high-performance engineering.

A build inspired by Nürburgring with a point that you have to prove

Genesis did not start from the front. The Track Day Special is based on the 3.3-liter twin turbo V6 G70, a car that already deserves credibility in enthusiastic circles. To build this car, generously borrowed cars from its own ring taxi formula that led on board with paying passengers after the round in the North School.

The suspension changes in a KW -Stuilover kit, the driving height falls by one centimeter and stiffens things to cope with a continuing use of route. Fasty axle warehouse and a newly calibrated gear help to treat repeated high -speed drive. The brake system was paired with AP racing racing, brake calipers and rotors with new cooling channels to prevent fading when fading. Track-enabled 19-inch-ozestrema-GT bikes are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, which wider than the inventory for a better grip and a safer handling, especially under the weight of additional passengers.

Looks that screaming “green hell”

Visually, the G70 special day with a ventilated bonnet and an aggressive front splinter falls out. A high -towering rear wing dominates the view and provides a serious downforce – something that the original taxis from Nürburgring doesn’t even have.

The car carries a painting in motorsport style with a bold G70 round on the doors, a genesis script over the windshield and the rear wing and “Nordschleife” proudly stamped on the feces. A subtle Nürburgring route card directly behind the front wheels seals the deal.

This one-time G70 has no more electricity than the ring taxi-er holds the standard drive train of 365 hp and AWD. However, this is not a direct rival for the 503 PS BMW M3 competition. The BMW M3 was built at the Nürburgring. So was this car. And although they are not the same, it remains to be seen whether there is a future showdown in the books.
