Mansory’s sinister BMW M5 gets triple exhaust pipes

When Mansory gets his hands on a car, you know the result won’t be for everyone. In fact, the new BMW M5 has undergone a radical makeover that can best be described as a taste sensation. True to the tuner’s approach, the super sedan now has an unusual body kit. However, that’s not even the most controversial change compared to the standard G90.

The center exhaust with three outlets and gigantic tips is a study in a class of its own, complemented by a massive rear diffuser that protrudes from the body. There’s a cornucopia of carbon fiber elsewhere, including a bulge on the hood with vents. However, it’s unclear whether these vents are functional or just for show. We lean towards the latter.

Mansory even added carbon fiber in unexpected places, like behind the Hofmeister kink on the rear pillar, complete with illuminated logo. A roof edge spoiler, a rather unusual sight on a sedan, can also be seen. Additionally, the front fenders now feature an additional carbon plate mounted behind the front wheels, each bearing a backlit Mansory emblem.

This isn’t the first time the love-hate tuner has redesigned the latest M5. A few months ago, another G90 in gray showcased the same wild body kit even more effectively. As before, Mansory replaced the original wheels with bespoke 22-inch alloys and heavily customized the leather interior.

To Mansory’s credit, there’s more power to match the ultra-aggressive look. The plug-in hybrid setup now produces 838 hp and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) of torque, likely thanks to upgrades to the 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine. For comparison: the standard S68 already produces a strong 577 hp and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft).

If the stock M5 feels too muted but Mansory’s version is too over-the-top, there’s a middle ground. BMW’s official M Performance parts add visual drama without going overboard. They are available individually so customers can select only the pieces they want.
