The dark -looking M70 is not the only taste of the new IX that is exhibited in Munich at the BMW world. This XDrive60 also shows several treats that the old XDrive50 did not have. For example, the electric luxobarge is now offered with massive 23-inch wheels. Prepare to build serious money for the two -colored “1028” change set, which costs an additional € 2,200 in Germany.
The Arctic breed Blue Paint Job is another novelty that the life cycle impulse has brought. The updated IX in this metallic color will reset a further € 1,070. For the first time, BMW sells the polarizing SUV with an optional M sports package. It is similar to the M70 without the striking kidney grid design of the M -Performance model.
BMW circle back to the large bikes and installs fleshy 275/35 R23 tires with built-in foam absorbers to improve sound insulation. The IX is not the company’s only model that offers 23-inch alloys, since XM and X7 are also available with such large bikes. The range is a less problem with the SUVs with petrol with petrol, but on the IX so large wheels damage the efficiency. The IX XDrive60 is up to 701 kilometers (436 miles), but with the standard 20-inch wheels.
The 23-inch alloys look good and make the IX even more impressive, although we are not sure whether we would sacrifice efficiency for aesthetics. It starts at € 99,900, which is still a lot of money, but not as bad as before. It is a different story in the United States in which you pay additional 1,250 US dollars about the predecessor. Nevertheless, at 89,675 US dollars it is still a much better business than its German counterpart.
The updated BMW IX, which is available in Europe as 2025 million and when 2026My in the USA, will come into production next month. Deliveries to customers begin in the second quarter. The SUV allegedly removed with the electric SUV code name “i20” will be discontinued in mid-2028. His place in the list is probably taken by an electric IX5 based on the next generation of the X5 “G65”.
