The first EV of Rolls-Roycce has only been around for a few years, but it has already been treated with a black badge. The hotter iteration in the shadow puts all the models previously operated with petrol and packs more punch than the mighty twin turbo V12 engine with two turbo. With 659 hp and 792 LB-FT (1,075 Nm) it plays in the same league as IX M70 or i7 M70 from BMW.
It is still a double motor all-wheel drive affair, but now the ghost is much faster. The improved hardware enables the electric Super Coupé to reach 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds – an improvement of 0.3s. The full performance can be reached by switching on the infinity mode, while the maximum torque is unlocked via the spirited mode. The latter is essentially a start control function, but the mountain movement moment is only temporarily available.
The infinity mode is switched on by pressing a button on the steering wheel. When it is switched on, the gas reaction of the EV is sharpened. In addition, the instrument cluster switch to a more aggressive look. In order to activate the spirited mode, the driver must completely depress the brake and the gas at the same time before releasing the brake. The start control only works if the car sends haptic and visual warnings before the brake pedal lets go.
Additional hardware changes reduced the roller roll and the crouch by optimizing the roll stabilization system and dampers during acceleration and delay. The steering weight is increased in the Black Badge Specter, which also receives new 22- and 23-inch wheels. It is still a Rolls-Royce, primarily, so the silky smooth “magic carpet ride” was not influenced.
Not much has changed in terms of styling. The typical dark accents found on black badge models were added together with a Lower Coachline. The imposing Pantheon cooler grille from RR can light up in several colors thanks to a colored canvas behind it. The additional piece is completed here in a tailor -made purple to fit the fresh Vapor Violet Body, but other colors are available. The new is also the ECED Black Hood option, which can be combined with one of the 44,000 colors in the catalog.
The interior is a mixture of high -quality metal, carbon fiber and a hint of wood. As for the dashboard, which is known as an illuminated fascia in RR terminology, it takes on a shiny black look. Apart from the fact that there are 5,500 stars, it also has an illuminated Infinity symbol. The motif is located elsewhere, including between the rear seats, where it was sewn into the leather.
Although the range is not so important for Rolls-Royce buyers, the Black Badge Specter runs 266 miles per EPA. However, the number only applies if you stick to the 22-inch wheels 22-inch wheels. The decision for the larger sentence reduces the range to 251 miles. Both numbers are predictable compared to a standard specter.
Mathematics begins at $ 490,000 before options or $ 10,000 less than the average Rolls-Royce, which was sold in the USA last year.
