BMW has reached another milestone in its shift in electrification. The company supplied its three million-time vehicle with an electrified drive train, which was characterized by the handover of a 3-plug-in hybrid, which was built in Munich.
The record was set up thanks to a strong first half of 2025, whereby the sale of fully electric cars and plug-in hybrids continues to increase. According to Jochen Goller, the BMW board member for customers, brands and sales, more than one of four BMW group vehicles that were sold worldwide in the first six months of the year was electrified.
European market share

Europe is still the strongest region for the electrified models from BMW. More than 60 percent of the company’s global electrified deliveries went to European customers, in which plug-in hybrids found a new demand. On the continent, electrified vehicles now make over 40 percent of the total sales of BMW. In the USA, BMW sold 24,632 BEVS in the first six months of 2025, a decline of 0.7% after the previous year after 24,794 units.
This announcement follows another important marker at the beginning of summer. In July, BMW reported the delivery of its 1.5 million -time full electrical car -a Mini -Landsmann that was built in Leipzig and was sold to a customer in Portugal. Since the i3 ago over a decade ago, the full electrical turnover of BMW has started far enough to align more than 6,500 kilometers – over the distance between Munich and New York.
Expansion of the list

The BMW Group now offers more than 15 fully electrical models and over 10 plug-in hybrids in BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce. Current updates such as the BMW IX with a WLTP area of over 700 kilometers underline the width of the current list. Other electrical models are on the way when the BMW IX3 new class is only out of its unveiling two weeks ago.
