The wait is over. Ionna-das from BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis and Toyota Joint Venture officially switched from public beta to full national efforts. This is not just another charger. It could be a pioneering moment for the EV infrastructure in America. All eight car manufacturers come together for the very first Ionna reworking in APEX, NC, together with the opening of a brand new headquarters and a customer experience laboratory in Durham, NC.
Fine the network before scaling
During the late 2024, Ionna lay his system through extensive tests, reported 4,400 charging sessions in more than 80 vehicle models and delivered almost 63,000 kWh of energy. Feedback from car manufacturers and early users found out for both hardware and software to ensure a seamless customer experience before the nationwide expansion.
With over 100 contracted locations in development, Ionna will accelerate growth. This week, new repetitions are opened in Houston, TX, and Abilene, KS, with Willcox, AZ and six additional locations. In the meantime, the Durham headquarters and the Customer Experience Lab will serve as a research and development center that is dedicated to improving network reliability, optimizing user experience and integration of new technologies.

Building a national charge network
From the beginning, Ionna has positioned herself as a solution for one of the most ongoing challenges of the EV market: access to reliable, well-placed and user-friendly charging stations. With 1,000 new charging bays that are expected to come online in 2025, the network should provide the type of consistency and convenience that will be of crucial importance for the introduction of the mainstream -V.
In addition to the infrastructure, the company represents a significant investment in the US production and the creation of jobs. In the next five years, Ionna is planning to build 30,000 charging, the strengthening of the budget offers and the further development of EV technology.
Innovation in the charging station
From the beginning of 2025, Ionna will introduce Ki-controlled customer-free retail technology at his location Garner, NC, NC. The system developed in cooperation with Amazon will use Computer Vision and Sensor Fusion to buy the drivers refreshments and essentials without waiting in line – an effort to make the state of charge more efficient and convenient.
In the meantime, the Plug & Charge technology is expanding a wider spectrum of car manufacturers, so that the vehicles can automatically authenticate and start with the charging. Future updates bring additional functions such as AI-controlled route optimization, payments in the car and intelligent reservations, which makes Ionna the most integrated load network in the country.
When the EV market matures, the charging infrastructure becomes a certain factor for the introduction. The National Rollout from Ionna signals a step to a coherent, more reliable charging experience – one that was designed for both current and future EV drivers.
