It is this time of year for BMW to announce the Grand Prix that is waiting for the fastest qualification game of the MotoGP season. The driver with the most points at the end of the season will take the recently introduced M2 CS home. It is not just any version of the competitive sport, but one that ends in an individual painting job. Velvet Blue is actually the only special color for the Hardcore G87. The other options are M Portimao Blue, M Brooklyn Gray and Sapphire Black.
We have to wait until mid -November to find out who receives the keys to this M2 CS of the second generation. The sports coupé in the rear wheel drive is handed over during the MotoGP season final in Valencia, Spain. Marc Márquez filled his garage with no less than seven cars by receiving the BMW M Award from 2013 to 2019. Francesco Bagnaia has been the fastest qualification game in the last three seasons.
This is far from being the first CS as a BMW M Award. Fabio Quartararo secured an M5 CS at the end of the 2021 season and an M2 CS the previous year. Marc Márquez received the M3 CS in 2018 after the delivery of an M4 CS in 2017. BMW has been distributing cars at the end of every season since 2003.

Over the years we have seen many BMWs that were awarded to the fastest driver during qualifying. In addition to the CS Badged models, BMW Francesco Bagnaia gave the M5 G90, the XM label Red in 2023 and the M3 tour in 2022 in 2024.
