The global sales figures are in the first quarter of the year and they are bitter. On the one hand, BMW fell by 2% to 520,142 cars. On the other hand, it grew in all markets with the exception of China, which remains the largest individual region of the company. The interval in the January March was much better for Bayern than their arch-rival Mercedes. The three -point fell by 4% to 446,300 vehicles.
In the first three months of 2025, the BMW rose 6.2% in Europe to 241,867 cars in Europe by 6.2%. The programs rose by 4.1% in the United States and reached 94,591 cars. In America, the luxury brand and its British branch recorded a demand for demand of 5.4% and a total of 114,313 units. However, the BMW group fell in China, where the programs went back to 155,195 cars by 17.2%.
When we talk exclusively about Mini, it had a great start to the year, which was heated up by the renewal of its entire line -up last year. The brand based in Oxford ended the first quarter with an increase of 4.1% to 64,626 cars. More than a third of the cars sold by Mini had no combustion engine. The BMW Group reports that the proportion of electric vehicles in Mini sales were achieved by 35.3% in the first quarter of 2025.
What about Rolls-Royce? The programs fell by 9.4% to 1,381 units. However, RR has never been volume since the Goodwood Ultra-Luxury brand has had much higher profit margins.
The three car manufacturers sent 109,516 full electrical cars or 32.4% more than January to March 2024. As you can imagine, the Kern-BMW brand carried out the entire severity by sending 86,449 EVS, an increase of 9.9% compared to the same interval last year. Mercedes sold less than half, whereby the deliveries of electric cars fell 14% to 40,700 units.
In the plug-in hybrids, sales with electrified vehicle of the BMW group increased by 28.5% to 157,495 cars with a charging connection. Later this year, the automotive conglomerate will reach two important milestones on its street to zero emissions: three million electrified vehicles (EV+PHEV) and 1.5 million EVs.
We have not forgotten BMW motorcycle that provided 44,609 units or 3.9% fewer motorcycles and scooters.
