The new BMW IX3 costs around 60,000 US dollars in the USA

After skipping the first generation, the BMW IX3 finally comes to America. The brand new electrical SUV arrives in 2026 to adopt the Tesla model Y and Mercedes GLC with EQ technology. From around $ 60,000, the newly designed IX3 starts with 50 XDRIVE and offers a range of 400 miles and 800 volt loads.

While European production begins in November, US SPEC models are only rolled off from the line in the first quarter of 2026. As a result, customer deliveries against the middle of next year should begin. The IX3 50 XDrive follows additional variants at both ends of the line -up. The mention of an entry -level version by BMW indicates a lower starting price. However, it is still too early to know whether the USA will receive this basic model, which may have a single engine with rear wheel drive.

Of course, the number of $ 60,000 applies to a no-option configuration. If it reflects the European market IX3, the US version offers many extras. Nevertheless, cars that are sold in North America are usually better equipped. In Europe, BMW also calculates the Panorama sliding roof, which can be combined with a sun blind as an official accessory. Other add-ons such as 22-inch single wheels, merinol leather and a 3D head display, push the price of the Euro Spec model even higher.

Both European and US models are being built in the new plant in Debrecen. From 2027, the IX3 will also be produced in Mexico in the establishment of San Luis Potosi, but the US vehicles will continue to come from Hungary. BMW assumes that Europe and the United States will lead sales, even if China, its largest market, receives a special long -calf version.

Range fear should not be a big problem for US buyers. BMW estimates that the IX3 50 XDrive in the EPA cycle will reach about 400 miles. With access to a 400 kW charging station, around 10 minutes of charging can be sufficient for the 108 kWh battery to add a range of around 230 miles.
