The Volvo ES90 may look like a sedan, but it is not a traditional three-box salon. It combines the practicality of the tailgate of a slanted rearback with the additional ground clearance of an SUV. Although the name indicates that it is an electrical version of the S90 operated by petrol, this is a completely different model. The BMW i5 competitor sits on an electric car platform that is already used for the EX90.
The massive 3.1-meter wheel stand corresponds to the extended BMW 5-series sedan in selected markets such as China and India. It is actually not the first canceled sedan that we have seen in Volvo in recent years. Do you remember the Oddball S60 Cross Country? The Swedes claim that the ES90 is a “class” of their own because it is a mashup of several body styles. Styling is a typical Volvo minimalism, although we also see a lot of polestar.

The interior has followed the trends of a electric car launched in recent years in recent years. By that we mean a large screen that swallows almost all conventional controls. Let’s talk about specifications. The basic Volvo ES90 is a rear drive with a single engine that produces 328 hp and 354 pound foot. Next comes a dual motor all-wheeler model with 443 hp and 494 LB-FT. Volvo also plans to sell a hotter power model with 671 hp and 642 LB-FT from two engines with AWD.
