AUTOID has given its G87 BMW M2 another round of changes, and this one changes the look of the car quite significantly. The Satin Black look is gone. Instead: a Narwhal Blue wrap, a full set of ADRO aero parts and a new wheel setup with HRE 521 in Satin Black and polished clear FMR barrels.

The front end is completely different than the original

The ADRO bumper immediately changes the handling of the vehicle. The G87 M2’s stock nose is still a sore point for many, and this bumper changes the entire geometry of the front end. AUTOID combined it with ADRO’s ventilated carbon-kevlar hood, V2 kidney grilles and winglet-style front splitter. But of course it’s the redesigned kidney grille that stands out the most.

The HRE 521s do a lot of the visual heavy lifting. Satin black dials add restraint, while the polished cases provide enough contrast to emphasize the stance. It avoids the “all-black” look the car had before and gives the arches something to work with.

ADRO side skirts and a rear diffuser give the car a more dynamic and sporty look. AUTOID has retained the TRE TR87 adjustable rear wing for now, although there is already debate about whether it’s time to go bigger or switch to ADRO’s gooseneck setup. It’s hard to blame them; the car drives in that direction.

Narwhal blue completely changes the mood

The foiling gives this G87 M2 a new look. Some colors obscure the G87’s lines; This one shows them all. Combined with the polished wheel arches, the car looks quite aggressive on the road. Overall, this version of the M2 from AUTOID doesn’t seem over the top. It just feels more visually interesting.

It’s still a G87, just one made for the BMW customer who wants to stand out while buying a track-ready M2. [Photos: AutoID]
