The race for BMW M Motorsport certainly has its advantages. Before Valentino Rossi picks up his shiny new M4 CS, the tailor -made coupé in the BMW Welt in Munich is publicly exhibited. The car is striking for several reasons. For the beginning, none of the four regular colors that are available for customer cars have it producing BMW. Instead of the frozen Isle of Man Green, Riviera Blue, Sapphire Black or M Brooklyn Gray, this is once painted in frozen tanzanite blue.
This week became Valentino Rossi 46, which happens to be his iconic racing number. The immediately recognizable “VR46” motif adorns the carbon fiber roof and the trunk lid. The characteristic color of the doctor, fluorescent yellow (neon yellow), surrounds the kidney grid. The lively color also forms a “V” on the otherwise black wheels.
A huge “46” in a lighter blue tone decorates the profile. Interestingly, this M4 -CS lacks the yellow day running light, since BMW went with the usual white LEDs instead. The typical Red Body accents reserved for the competitive sports model were deleted for Valentino Rossi’s unique car. Elsewhere, the brake calipers are sprayed into the striking fluorescent yellow. All exposed carbon fiber parts and the laser declines are still there.
BMW only makes 1,700 m4 CS for customers. Nothing is official, but we assume that Valentino Rossi’s car does not count in regular production. If you essentially want the same package in a much more practical vehicle, there is now an M3 -CS tour. Although the M department did not say how many you do, less than 2,000 units await you.
The CS list will grow even more later this year if the M2 CS break the cover. Hopefully BMW will also give another M5 -CS sedan in the G90 sedans in the G90 life cycle. In this case, Logic tells us that there will also be an M5 -CS tour.
