The 2026 BMW 8 series is a model at dusk. BMW has already started to organize victims in the 8 family, the beginnings of an “exit” that will come to the conclusion at some point in early 2026. While the M8 coupé may no longer be nearby, the regular 8-series coupé remains at least long enough to get a model for 2026. The same applies to the rest of the 2026 BMW 8 series series, which remains unchanged compared to the previous year. Except for a few cool new individual color offers for M performance (M850i) models (M850i). The BMW 8 series is available in three flavors: six-cylinder and rear wheel drive, six-cylinder with all-wheel drive and V8 with all-wheel drive. The EPA has no official reviews for the 2026 BMW 8 series. However, we expect the figures to remain unchanged compared to the previous year. Six cylinder models therefore receive around 21 city and 29 highway MPG, together 24 MPG. M850i XDRIVE models are recorded due to their thirsty engines and the add -up. Expect around 17 MPG City and 24 MPG Highway for a total of 19 MPG. An 18-gallon fuel tank means that the Range 2026 BMW 8 series floats around 350 miles, more for the 840i models.
Indoor and cargo space
When it made his debut, the 8s had the latest and the most plenty of technology. The 2026 BMW 8 series is no longer the case when it appeals to a charming “classic” interior layout. It grants four additional centimeters of the head room and seven inches more legroom for the rear seats. Remarkably, the 2026 BMW 5 Series offers more trunk and the rear side driver than the 2026 BMW 8 series.
2026 BMW 8 series technology and connectivity
As we have already mentioned, the cabin of the 8er feels like an explosion from the past. But what is unbelievable is that, only in terms of usable technology, you will probably not be missed much. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Come Standard, which most buyers will probably satisfy. Integrated navigation, myBMW app integration and voice commands are also standard. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System is a completely worthwhile upgrade if you do not work on a budget. There are 3,400 US dollars, but an appropriate upgrade of sound quality.
Security and driver aid functions

The 2026 BMW 8 series is not quite what we would call future classics, but it is definitely the same parts of “future” and “classics”. Traditional BMW kidney grilles, a dated but rich interior and a non-hybrid V8 engine of the old school step into a classic area. In the meantime, the car still offers modern amenities such as Apple CarPlay and app integration. You probably don’t need anything anymore. And not, at least in the near future. After all, details for a real successor are scarce, and it may be the last time that we see real buttons in the ultimate Grand Touring Machine.
