You can certainly say that the Aftermarket support for BMW M -cars is generous. However, the M4 convertible has never been as popular as the M2, M3 or M4 coupé. G-Power aims to change this with a new upgrade package for the G83. It is a predictably courageous project that fully matches M models with the earlier work of the German tuner.
Based on the Pre Facelift-M4 convertible, the KIT “G4M BI-Turbo” increases the 3.0-liter engine with two turbo to 700 hp. In addition, the torque is increased to a mountain train of 627 LB-FT. These impressive numbers aim at a niche of enthusiasts who wanted BMW that BMW had given the droptop M4 the same blow as the M4 CS coupĂ©, but not.
The additional performance comes from both software assistants and hardware upgrades. G-Power adapted a new carbon absorption system, modified the turbochargers and installed HJS rainfalls. The tuner also reinforced the eight-speed automatic transmission to ensure that the additional torque is processed.
The “S58” engine from BMW now breathes better thanks to a carbon fiber ventilation hood. The lightweight was the pedestrian protection test of the Euro -NCAP, a prerequisite for the approval of the new bonnet. G-Power explains that add-on parts, which are installed at an altitude of 285 millimeters, or higher tests have to go through.

As part of the same procedure, the customer -specific carbon kidney grille was even subjected to a collision test. In order to further improve the fascia of the car, G-Power added the corners of the anterior apron carbon fiber attachments.
The most striking visual change comes from the bikes. G-Power met with a forged 21-inch orange set, coupled with high-adjustable coil springs for additional visual drama and sharper handling. In the back, the strong quad exhaust tips with new carbon fiber finishers leave no doubt that this is not an ordinary M4 convertible.
As with all G83S, this standard is equipped with all -wheel drive, although you can still enjoy a tail -friendly trip after the traction control is deactivated. G-Power does not provide acceleration numbers, but the with XDRIVE CABRIO M4 convertible makes 0-62 miles per hour (0-100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds.
The tuner confirms a significantly higher top speed, which is increased from 280 km/h to 310 km/h (192 km/h). It remains electronically limited, which means that an uncorked version could probably go even faster.
