MegaRexx returns with the three-row MegaRaptor7 SUV

MegaRexx, the North Carolina company that turns Ford’s F-250 Super Duty into a big and burly Baja basher, has a new version of the wild truck that seats seven.

Called the MegaRaptor7, it features a third row with two seats in the area where the F-250’s bed normally sits. MegaRexx also crafted a removable canopy, in this case a one-piece design made from hand-formed aluminum and sporty tinted side glass.

The modification turns the previous MegaRaptor pickup into an SUV.

The MegaRaptor7 is based on the Ford F 250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat 4×4 and a lot of luxury is included as a result. These include leather interiors, a Bang & Olufsen audio system and voice-activated navigation.

It also has the standard 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel offered in the F-250, producing 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. Ford says the engine will tow up to 20,000 pounds in an F-250 with four-wheel drive and a traditional hitch.

MegaRexx has another option for buyers looking for a wild seven seater truck. The company introduced a Super Duty Bronco mashup last June that also offered the option of a third row.

Note that Denver-based Defco Trucks also used the MegaRaptor name for an F-350 build in 2018, while Shelby American offers its own off-road capable F-250 without the Raptor nomenclature.
