New Mercedes V-8 will soon be debut soon in an AMG CLE 63

Mercedes-Benz sent a strategy presentation last week in which it was confirmed that it will continue to offer V-8 and V-12 engines for the foreseeable future-and in the case of the V-8, the car manufacturer said to develop a completely New generation with electrification.

Mercedes did not provide any further details about the new V-8, but AutoCar learned from the sources that the engine will be have a mild hybrid system And will be debut later this year in the new AMG CLE 63 before you take part in other AMG models.

A potential recipient could be an updated version of the C 63, the current iteration of which is operated by A 2.0-liter turbo-4 in a plug-in hybrid configuration– Although AMG boss Michael Schiebe has previously excluded this.

Prototypes for CLE 63 were discovered several times last year, also in convertible form. It is expected that the car in the USA will be sold as a 2026 model.

According to the AutoCar report published on February 24th, the new V-8 will be a development of the current 4.0-liter V-8 from AMG from Twin-Turbola. According to reports, a mild hybrid technology will be included together with A Course shaft with levels. The latter enables a smaller crankcase that helps the efficiency of the packaging and a higher speed limit. AMG previously used a crankshaft of the flat level in the GT Black series, which was launched in 2021.

Interestingly, AutoCar also reported AMG can include sound generators To replicate the deeper, strict motor of its current V-8. A crankshaft design with a flat level typically creates a higher sound, which makes artificial improvement a possible necessity.

Mercedes is not just a car manufacturer who sees a brilliant future for the V-8. Porsche said last autumn that it is planning to continue to offer gas cars until the next decade, including some with V-8 engines.
