The last post covered the damaged core support and the front aprons. New ones were bought (shown below).
The apron for the passenger side or the battery chest was good, but had to be pulled a little into the engine compartment. The holes were drilled where I wanted to describe and then clamped.
The driver’s side had to need more work, as the welding holes had to be drilled and the holes and slots had to be placed and cut for the fenders of fender screws in the upper lip. I used spray through spray (3 m product} on the bare metal before I welded the aprons in place.
As soon as the aprons were on the spot, I used a tape measure to check whether they were straight away from the middle and in height from the ground. They were not in harmony.
In order to fix the alignment problem, the core support was screwed and clamped the fenders that were placed and screwed on the bonnet. Then I used Rachet straps to pull in the aprons so that the screw and the measurements were correct. After the core support was held on the spot, the fenders were removed and then the core support welding was removed.
The front of the underground frame is now complete and ready for installing the suspension. You can see the brake lines back on the spot to start the installation of new and old parts.
The 9 -inch rear was taken apart and inspected for wear and damage, no damage and wear looked normal. New seals and seals are available to put them together again and add the disc brakes.
The gas tank was sanded and painted to go back in.
Next is on the list to grind and paint the dashboard and side panels to be ready for the power steering field and reinstall the column.
