Hennessey recently introduced a new version of the Venom F5 that has been redesigned for more agility, improved handling and high downforce. The new Venom F5 Revolution Coupe is lighter, focused on the race track and currently the most powerful and emotional pure combustion hypercar in the world.
The new model is based on the Hennessey Venom F5 coupe, the two models share almost identical DNA, but you can tell the Revolution coupe apart from the F5 coupe by its aerodynamics, suspension, engine cooling and digital telemetry. With the new model, the engineering team focused on reducing the vehicle’s bulk and weight, making the Revolution Coupe the lightest Venom F5 model at under 3000 pounds.
The Revolution Venom F5 model is powered by Hennessey’s acclaimed 6.6-liter, twin-turbocharged “Fury” V8 engine, which produces 1817 horsepower. Additionally, the engine is center mounted on the carbon fiber monocoque chassis, power is sent to the rear wheels via a robust single-clutch automated transmission, and the wheels have been fitted with carbon-ceramic brakes with multi-piston calipers as standard to ensure fading -free braking performance on the road or track.
The exterior of the new model features a full-width carbon fiber rear wing with an adjustable appendage. The adjustable approach has been fitted with end plates that increase the vehicle’s downforce without increasing the width of the wing. The rear wing delivers more than 800 pounds of downforce at 300 mph and over 1,400 pounds of downforce at 400 mph thanks to endplates that create vortices that direct airflow and improve stability and aerodynamics.
The new model also features a larger carbon fiber front splitter that prevents air from flowing under the F5 Revolution Coupe, an extended rear diffuser that directs air from the bottom out, dive planes on the front fascia that channel airflow to improve aerodynamics Shifting balance forward and a new roof-mounted central air scoop that lowers temperature by delivering fresh air into the F5’s engine bay.
The double wishbone suspension has been fitted with adjustable dampers that can be trackside calibrated with simple tools, optimizing the suspension system for the particular road course, racetrack or track. In addition, the new model has been fitted with new forged alloy wheels for improved cornering grip and improved braking.
The new Venom F5 Revolution Coupe is scheduled to make its official worldwide public debut on January 15, 2023 at the Miami Motorcar Cavalcade Concours d’Elegance. The new model will cost $2.7 million and will be limited to 24 units worldwide.
