2025 BMW X3 40D shines in Tanzanite blue, the diesel is not getting America

If you are reminded that BMW Diesel still takes seriously, meet the new 2025 BMW X3 40D XDrive – in Slovakia with BMW Individual Tanzanit Blue II and after the stealth specification. The 40d is one of the European proposal (and Europe), and it does not come to the USA, but it is a convincing exhibition why diesel SUVs are still important in many markets.

The 40D drive train: six cylinders, large torque, mild hybrid smoothness

Under the bonnet is the latest 3.0-liter inline diesel from BMW with a 48-volt-mild hybrid system that is integrated into the 8-speed steptronic. The output becomes torque at 303 hp and 670 Nm (495 LB-FT), good for 0–100 km/h and a top speed of 245 km/h (152 mph). Official WLTP combination ends up in an economical 6.7 l/100 km. It is the sweet spot: long -legged reach, lots of thrust and relaxed cruise, which fits the more adult atmosphere of the G45 X3.

Why Diesel still fits the order – in Eastern Europe and beyond

The decision of BMW to add a six-cylinder diesel to the new X3 family shows the ongoing demand in markets in which diesel is popular for its torque, its towing and the efficiency of the highway-think of large routes and mixed road networks to Eastern Europe. Of course, the plug-in Hybrid BMW X3 is another popular choice in Europe and probably divides the take-off rate with the diesel engines.

The color that makes the shape: Tanzanite Blue II

Tanzanite Blue II is one of the large, deep blues of BMW. It appears with rich sapphire tones in the immediate sun; At dusk it slips towards almost black. On the new X3, the color increases the clean surface and muscular rear bouncing of the car. Combine it with the M-Sport package and the extended Shadowline-trim-a-painted radiator grille, window bordering, mirror cap and the entire design looks much more sporty.

The X3 offers a well -curated color palette for 2025. The highlights include:

  • Tanzanite Blue II Metallic
  • Vegas Red Metallic
  • Arctic breed blue metallic
  • Brooklyn Gray Metallic, Dune Gray Metallic, skyscraper gray metallic, Dark Graphit Metallic
  • Black sapphirmetallic, Mineral White Metallic, Alpine White
  • Frozen surfaces such as frozen deep gray and frozen pure gray metallic (availability can vary depending on the equipment/region)

It is a mixture that corresponds to the pre-turning move of the X3 and yet enthusiasts enthusiasts give a few wilder cards-straight enough personality to impair resale-friendly staple.

If a six-cylinder diesel is too rich for your taste, BMW Germany also sells a 4.0-liter four-cylinder X3 variant to get started. The 2025 X3 20D XDRIVE produces 197 HP and 400 Nm (295 LB-FT) torque. This engine from the latest modular motor family from BMW is also combined with a 48-volt mild hybrid system.
