2026 BMW IX3 makes the British debut in the right drive: video

All pictures and videos that we have seen in the 2026 BMW IX3 have shown the configuration of the left hand. Of course, the purely electrical crossover was also developed for the right -handed markets by bike on the opposite side of the dashboard. Shortly after his world premiere at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich, the “Na5” ended up in the United Kingdom.

BMW’s first modern new class model celebrates its British debut at the PGA championship in the Wentworth Club. In fact, the IX3 in the 14th hole serves as this year’s award winner. A happy golfer will be among the first customers who own the EV, which will be offered for sale in Europe in spring 2026. In a Walkaround video, an IX3 50 XDrive with a right fuel is highlighted, the only version available at the start.

It is not surprising that the British branch of the company shows a higher model with some extras. If you are curious about the basic version, we talked about the zero option-ix3 when the configurator went live at the beginning of this week. BMW Great Britain raises a model blue Ocean Wave Blue model with the M sports package and impressive 22-inch individual wheels.

Inside, digital white upholstery combines with a black sports steering wheel. Alternatively, buyers can choose a new M wheel with a more conventional design that can already be seen on another IX3. The pricing begins at £ 58,755 for the entry-level setup, with the M sports cladding begins at 61,255 GBP. The Ocean Wave Blue Paint adds £ 875, the Aero wheels cost £ 2,100 and the digital white interior costs another £ 2,0.

Despite a generous list of standard functions, there are numerous options. Great Britain buyers can order a panoramic load sliding roof of 1,275 GBP or the pack of £ 1,700, which bundles a 3D head-up display, automatic air conditioning of three zones and a Harman Kardon sound system. Other extras are a 250 £ heated steering wheel, £ 450 tinted glass, an illuminated kidney grid in the amount of £ 950 and a towing rod £ 1,025. Fully loaded, the IX3 presses over £ 72,000.

At the moment, BMW UK has not announced any additional IX3 variants. However, cheaper versions come to the USA. From the beginning of 2027, the pricing will decrease with the arrival of the 40 XDRIVE and 40 SDRIVE models, although availability in the UK is currently unknown. Both have a smaller battery than the 108.7 kWh pack in the 50 XDrive. The SDRIVE will also do without the front engine and it is the first IX3 of this generation in the rear wheel drive.

BMW sold its predecessor exclusively in a layout with a motor back vehicle. Fortunately, there is now a greater variety and even more aromas are on the way. M Performance and full fat M derivatives make sense, although we should wait for the spicy electric vehicles to be officially confirmed.
