In the meantime, they are probably familiar with the new BMW IX3. The press shots have no longer failed, the configurator is live, but there is still something that you have never seen before: real-life pictures of the “NA5”. Our exclusive photos show the electrical crossover up close. Instead of the Oca University Blue Color from the official images, the IX3 that we shot is painted in the silver room.
At 22 inches, these are the largest available bikes, but the 1054 m design can be replaced for an equally large BMW -specific 1053 set. Since we talk about an EV, the Rhe selection plays an important role in efficiency because it directly influences the area. In general, smaller bikes help the range, although this is not always the case. Some designs are more aerodynamic, so buyers who are looking for maximum efficiency should carefully select.
Inside this IX3 is ready in Castanea Brown. Say what you want about BMW, but the company is not afraid to enter into design risks. The 2026 IX3 does not look with its predecessor, especially in the cabin, where almost everything has changed. The quirky steering wheel, which we have seen for the first time on the vision of new class concepts, is still here, still white. However, if you prefer a black version with a different layout, you have options.
We have already covered the basic model and its simpler steering wheel in our configurator post, but the checking of the M Sport package box unlock two more options. The more interesting of the two costs € 100 in Germany and introduces a revised layout, as can be seen here. The silver metal spokes were re -positioned and moved from 12 p.m. and 6 a.m. to 4 and 7.
An M -Logo now crowns the airbag cap, flanked by the same button setup as the other bikes. The keys only illuminate when your functions are available. On the left side you will find the control of driver assistance, while infotainment and telephone control sit on the right.
It is still not what we would call a conventional steering wheel, but we would argue that it is more appealing than the striking in the press recordings. Keeping a white steering wheel clean over the years can be difficult. The catch is that you need the M sports package to order an IX3 with this M wheel that increases the starting price of € 68,900 for the basic model to € 72,700 in Germany. Nevertheless, it is good to have alternatives. After all, variety is the spice of life.
