2026 BMW iX3 reveals digital white interior in new images

Deciding on the right features for a new luxury car is never easy. Customers are faced with a long list of customization options, making it difficult to choose the ideal build. But that’s the appeal of shopping at the higher end, where automakers pamper buyers with extensive personalization options.

Case in point: The new iX3 is highly configurable. BMW Spain now shows just one of the many variants made possible by the configurator. With the M Sport package, the electric SUV appears in front of the lens in Ocean Wave Blue. Whoever configured this structure treated themselves to the aerodynamic 22-inch individual wheels.

The real highlight, however, is the cabin, where the iX3 is finished in Digital White. It is upholstered in synthetic leather (Veganza), but without the white steering wheel shown in the press photos. Why? It can only be ordered in January 2026. For now, the first modern New Class will be shown with the standard sports steering wheel of the M Sport package. A different M brand steering wheel is available for an additional charge.

The subtly updated BMW logo adorns not only the new steering wheel and other familiar areas, but also the storage lid of the front trunk. Lift the cover and you’ll discover an interesting detail: the maximum load capacity is printed on the inside: 10 kilograms (22 pounds). The trunk volume is 58 liters. We recently learned that it has drain plugs, meaning you can fill it with ice to keep drinks cold and then remove the plug to drain the water.

At the back, the traditional cargo space offers 520 liters with the rear seat folded up. If you fold it down, the capacity increases to 1,750 liters. If you need even more, an electrically operated trailer hitch is available as an option. This iX3 has it and is designed for a maximum trailer load of 2,000 kilograms in the introductory model 50 xDrive. Logic suggests that future “40” models with less powerful engines are unlikely to reach this figure.

Interesting details you may have missed include the illuminated door handles and an oversized M logo projected onto the floor. There are also light strips around the charging port and grille, although the latter is not standard. A front-facing camera with an integrated washer is integrated into one of the kidney grilles, while the driver assistance system’s sensors are neatly hidden behind a glossy black panel.

BMW says the iX3 is off to a strong start even before customer deliveries begin in Europe next spring. Order books already extend well into 2026, meaning the new factory in Debrecen, Hungary, has a busy schedule ahead of it.
