BMW does not waste time to show the new M2 CS (G87) as many enthusiasts as possible. We saw the competition last weekend in the Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este. After its public debut in Italy, the Hardcore Sports CoupĂ© is now exhibited in Munich at BMW Welt.
You would like to hurry if you plan to personally see this rear-loving compact performance car. BMW only presents it until next Friday, June 6th. However, access is limited because BMW world will be closed from Monday at 6 p.m. to Thursday at 8 a.m. If you can make it during the available hours, you can be pampered. The M2 CS is not only the fastest and most powerful M2 ever, but also the most expensive.
The flagship G87 is presented in Brooklyn Gray, one of the inexpensive color options next to Sapphire Black and M Portimao Blue. For those who are ready to bubble, individual velvet blue is also available. All cars are shipped with 827 m staggered wheels in gold bronze with red brake calipers. M composite brakes are standard, but a carbon ceramic upgrade is available.

Interestingly, BMW decided to do without yellow tag with running light, even though they offer them on the M4 CSL, 3.0 CSL, M3 CS, M4 CS and M3 CS. Without the yellow DRLs, the most striking visual change compared to the regular M2 is located. The Carbon Trunk Lid has an integrated duck tail spoiler, which immediately distinguishes the CS.
Like its larger siblings, the M2 CS have red accents on the badge. Other subtle differences are a matt black front splitter, a CS-specific kidney grille and a redesigned aerial frame. Carbon fiber add-ons that are optional on the standard M2 are standard on the CS. While we hoped for those who resembled those of the M4, BMW decided to keep the standard minor lights.
It is unlikely that the CS is the final development of the G87. We have heard that an M2 XDrive could arrive next year. Since BMW does not plan to stop the M2 up to the second half of 2029, there is still enough time for additional variants. It remains to be seen whether this includes an M2 CS XDrive or even an M2 -CSL, but we would not rule out.
