BMW motorcycle presses the limits of sport with the unveiling of the 2026 BMW R 1300 RS, a sharper, faster and more dynamic development of his beloved Boxer Sport Tourer. The new R 1300 RS should arrive at the end of 2025 with a start-up of $ 16,995 in dealers and more electricity, more technology and a sportier lead, without affecting the ability of the comfort and the long-haul, which have defined the RS name sign for decades.
In the center of the new R 1300 RS there is a fully overtaken liquid boxer engine of 1,300 ccm. It delivers 145 hp and 110 LB-FT torque and is the most powerful production boxer Twin BMW, which has ever built. Thanks to a larger hole, a shorter hub and a timing -timing technology from BMWS Advanced ShiftCam Variable valve, the engine offers a wide, smooth power strap and remains impressive. BMW claims that the bicycle now reaches a top speed of 152 miles per hour and consolidates its status as the fastest model in the current boxer line -up.
New steel main frame

The improvements in the handling result from a newly developed steel main frame, a rear frame for aluminum aluminum and light wheels that give a combined three pounds of unexpected mass. The suspension is also improved, with a 47 mm run in front and a revised EVO Paralever II setup at the back. For the first time, drivers can opt for the dynamic suspension adjustment of the BMW (DSA), which depending on the driving conditions both the damping and the spring rate sets electronically. This technology, a premiere for a production motorcycle that turns upside down, promises an even closer connection between the driver and the street.

The ergonomics was also refined for a somewhat more aggressive attitude with front-wheel-oriented attitude, but comfort remains a priority. A large selection of seats, handlebars and footrests enables tailor -made adjustment, and heated handles and seat heaters are available so that those who cover long distances in cooler weather can cover. The aerodynamics were ground in detail in the wind tunnel, which led to greater windbreak and lower resistance.
Many security features

A 6.5-inch full color screen is standard that offers smartphone connectivity, navigation and media control. The latest security functions from BMW are also available, including active speed control with distance management and frontal collision warning. For those who prefer convenience, the new Automatic Shift Assistant (ASA) automates the clutch operation and the shift of the gear and, depending on the mood, has either a complete manual control or a fully automated experience.
Visually, the R 1300 RS cuts a much sportier figure than its predecessor. The complete cladding extends lower and has functional excerpts that show the aerodynamic focus of the bike. The split-face headlight design is both sharper and more compact, while available style packages such as Triple Black, option 719 Cuyamaca and the performance variant of the Range-Toping style enable your RS to adapt to your riding style and aesthetic preferences.
