2027 BMW 7 series Facelift packed with shared headlights

BMW is preparing a facelifting for its flagship 7er sedan, and new spy photos show the biggest changes so far. From shared headlights to iDrive X, the refresher of the G70 center of the cycle becomes more than a subtle update.

To date, all 7 -Slci prototypes that were caught by Auto -Paparazzi have skipped the shared headlights. However, this only turns out to be one bait. As with the early test vehicles of the luxury limousine before this generation in 2022, BMW deliberately hid the separate LED day. Well, not more. New spy images confirm what some consider their worst fear of refreshing the G70 center of the cycle.

Front design: Split headlights return

Rectangular excerpts in the vertified camouflage show a slim light strip that is positioned at the top of the front bumper. The main headers sit much lower and confirm that the splitting layout for the second half of the durability of the 7 Series of the 7 Series lives around. This could mean that the next generation X7 will also have a divided headlights because they are closely connected to the limousine. The G67 has already been discovered with unusually low headlights, which triggered speculation via an upper LED rod for the day -to -day lights.

Heck -updates: light rod and new class influence

But this 7 Series prototype still has something that also attracted our attention. When you are moved backwards, it seems that a wide rante rod is hidden in sight. The test car had temporary clear taillights, but the shape, size and position are probably final. Only the inner graphic changes. At first glance, the LED rod seems to be halved by the BMW Roundel. Where have we ever seen that? About the 2023 Vision New Class Concept.

Elsewhere, the individual exhaust tip under the bumper confirms that this is more of a combustion engine 7 series than the full electrical i7. In view of the lack of a quad exhaust setup, we can certainly say that it is not the M760E. The loading connection on the front fender is missing, so this is not a cheaper plug-in hybrid.

Inside Tech: Idrive X replaces two screens

Since the test vehicle was trapped in motion, we cannot look inside. However, the angle of the background suggests that iDrive 8 belongs to the past. Gone are the side screens on the dashboard lying next to each other, which are replaced by a central touchscreen and the panoramic view projection of columns to Pillar on the base of the windshield. Although the 7 Series is the BMW flagship, it will not be the first to use the iDrive X and all new technologies. This role was assigned to the new class IX3, which was premiered in September at the IAA mobility exhibition in Munich.

This prototype bears the typical BMW incision, but there will most likely be an alpina aroma of the 7 Series Facelifting. Instead of a sole B7 model like in the past, Buchloe’s attitude to the G70 reports reported in versions 740, 760 and i7 70. Yes, an electrical alpina is on the way. Another internal code name was allegedly assigned for the trio: G72. This could be a sign of more detailed changes compared to the BMW BMW cars, which is justified, which will undoubtedly be a significant premium compared to the equivalent 7 Series.

BMW is still about a year from the start production of the 7 Series achieved. The first car is expected to roll off the assembly line in July 2026. If our sources are correct, this would mean that the official unveiling will not take place this year. Our money is in the late winter or spring debut in 2026.
