2027 BMW M350 accepts the Nürburgring with quad pipes and fresh styling

Spring has arrived, and that means that BMW is back in the Nürburgring for its routine test sessions. Today’s star is the 2027 BMW M350 sedan that attacked the legendary green hell. The upcoming M350 will be part of the new family of the new G50 3 series to replace the always popular and one of our favorite M340i.

New class-inspired design

Of course, the prototype is still strongly disguised with many fake body panels, but some details will already be in focus. The general design direction can be made a clear inspiration from the upcoming new class line -up in new class. In advance, we can see indications of BMW’s new “Phygitale” design that runs traditional chrome accents for illuminated elements. It creates a new identity for the front-end design of BMW, be it electrically or fuel-powered. As expected, the electrical variant will also have a shorter nose due to the lack of an internal combustion engine.

The silhouette has a strong resemblance to the upcoming BMW i3 sedan (Na0), although this version appears somewhat lower – probably due to the lack of a battery under the floor. The signature of BMW, Hofmeister Kink, transmits the G50 generation, which is always worth celebrating. To the back, you can see a set of quad exhaust pipes -for the first time that we saw this on a 3 -series model outside the complete M layout. On the other hand, this change corresponds to the latest trend of M power models that adopt the four-tube treatment.

Looks larger than the outgoing G20 3

We cross our fingers that the next generation of 3 Series does not get bigger-the current G20 is already quite considerable. Flush door handles rationalize the side profile, while the front end is expected to mix a wide kidney grid with sharp, modern headlights. A subtle lip spoiler on the master cover helps to distinguish it from an average 3 series.

Nobody has not yet managed to take photos of the interior, but the “G50” will probably share its cabin with the Electric i3 “Na0”. Finally, every new BMW will contain the latest IDRIVE X system with a large central touchscreen and panorama blimmo-vision-a windshield spanning projection that extends from A-pillar to A-pillar. The traditional digital instrument cluster is on the way outside and offers space for a 3D head-up display of the next generation that is offered as an option.

Driven by the B58 engine

If the new 3 Series debut, you expect the M350 to be available from the start. A Euro 7-compliant version of the popular B58 engine is equipped. In the meantime, the next full fat M3 (“G84”) with an even more powerful inline-six is already in progress. The production of the standard -G50 -3 series is expected to begin in November 2026, whereby the M3 G84 will follow in July 2028. As already reported, the production of the 3 Series probably changes from Munich to the Dingolfing plant from BMW.
