Spy photographers caught the next generation BMW 3 Series this week. In addition to the espionage recordings we shared, we give an intensive video a better view of the M -Performance version. The new M350 is no longer called M340i and is predictable in camouflage. Wheels are not so unusual for prototypes, but the alloys seem to be quite large for a non-M3.

We still stand on the quad exhaust tip on an M performance model. BMW did not match the M350 test vehicle with the M-specific mirrors, but that could change for the production version. The suspension seems to be more than expected on a sportier version of the 3 Series. But that is also quite normal for an auto-in-progress car, and we shouldn’t read too much in the plot.

The engine’s soundtrack comes from a development of the B58. The 3.0-liter turbocher will finally enter 400 hp territory. As BMWblog Exclusively reports, the inline-six will produce a healthy 417 hp. If our sources are exactly, the upcoming M350 has an advantage of 31 hp compared to the M340i sold in the USA.

At the same time, it would be an additional 48 hp compared to the M340i available in Europe. It is unclear whether the M350 will use the same iteration of the B58 worldwide. If not, BMW could reappear the straights in the European Union to comply with stricter emission regulation. While XDRIVE is a matter of course, the configurated configuration of rear Happy rear-wheel drive could survive in some markets.

The M350 will be one of several variants that are available when the eighth generation starts. The Dingolfing plant in Germany will put together the “G50” from November 2026 to the end of 2034. You still have to wait a little for the spicy M3, as the “G84” begins production in July 2028. We hear that BMW only simplifies the line -up with XDRIVE and an automatic transmission.
