No presumption and reports on the numbers from which the new M2 CS make up. BMW finally publishes all the details, just a few days after the car’s public debut in the Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este. We have been pursuing second generation competition for several years, and now the cat is not in our pocket. M has easily improved the G87 formula.
In the center of the new M2 CS there is an improved twin turbo inline-Six engine. The 3.0-liter S58 now delivers 523 hp and £ 479 (650 Newton meters) torque. Enthusiasts receive an additional 50 hp and 36 LB-FT (50 Nm) via the 2025 m2 equipped with the automatic transmission. At the same time, it is as strong as the M4 competition XDrive. Unfortunately, despite the old M2-CS generation of F87 with one floor, no manual gear is available.
Lighter than the regular BMW M2

Let’s talk about weight. BMW has removed £ 97 for the version sold in the USA, where the scales typed at £ 3,770. In Europe, the car lost 30 kilograms and reduced its weight to around 1,700 kg without a driver. Since this is not a CSL, the rear seats remain in place. The engineers achieved the weight savings through a variety of carbon fiber components and forged 19-inch wheels. The striking shoes are delivered in matt golden bronze.

By adding and weight of the shed, the sprint of 96 km/h was reduced by two tenths of seconds to 3.7 seconds. In Europe, the M2 CS reaches 62 km/h in 3.8 seconds. With the one-foot rollout method, she does the job in 3.5 seconds. It reaches an electronically limited 302 km/h, which means 17 km/h faster than the standard car 11 km/h.
A color for the interior – black

The interior of the M2 CS is based on performance and light design. The driver and the front passenger sit in heated M Carbon bucket seats that combine Alcantara and black merinol leather with M -colored seams. These seats are lighter than standard buckets, have removable head restrictions for the use of the helmet and can be equipped with multi-point belts for the route work.
The three-spoke steering wheel wrapped with Alcantara has a flat floor, a shift paddle, a red 12 o’clock marker and two M buttons for quick access to custom driving settings. The carbon fiber cladding runs over the dashboard and center console, where you can also find a red CS badge. Further details are M -Safety belts, door thresholds with an illuminated “CS” logo and red outline as well as adaptable ambient lighting in the door cladding -to see the carbon weaving underneath. The M anthracitic headliner completes the focused, driver -centered cabin.
Under 100,000 US dollars

The CS costs the sensitive output of the pricing and costs 99,775 US dollars in the USA, including determination and handling fees. It is a whopping 30,400 US dollars more expensive than the base M2 with an automatic transmission. You could buy a new mini-3 door hardtop with the difference. In the defense of BMW, functions that are optional on the M2 are standard on the CS. We mainly talk about the carbon package ($ 9,900) and the M driver package ($ 2,500) as well as a few different objects such as the dark headlights, the active speed control and the steering wheel converted with Alcantara. Adding the extras to a non-CS-M2 reduces the price gap between the two to almost $ 19,000.
In Germany, BMW calculates a steep € 115,000 or € 37,500 more than the regular M2 equipped by Steptronic. You will no longer pay for the colors Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Gray and Portimao Blue. If you deal on the individual velvet blue, you pay $ 3,600 in the USA. However, what really distinguishes it from a regular G87 is the new trunk lid with an integrated CSL ducktail spoiler.

Although BMW calculates a massive premium, the Carbon Ceramic brakes are still listed separately for $ 8,500. The staggered bikes are equipped with 275/35 ZR19-fore and 285/30 ZR20 rear tires, which can be updated without additional costs for “track” and “Ultra-Track”. It is worth noting that BMW has reduced the car by 0.2 inches and has revised everything from the feathers and dawn to steering and differential.
Production begins in August in the San Luis Potosí factory in Mexico, where BMW will build the M2 CS in “limited numbers”. We expect around 2,000 units to be assembled. The market launch is set for late summer.
