BMW 3 series 50th anniversary Limited is only for a country

2025 marked the Big Five-O for the 3 Series after entering production in July 1975 when the first E21 in Munich rolled from the assembly line. Of course, BMW celebrates the milestone by giving the luxury sedan its appropriate share of special expenses. China led with a 50 -year edition, followed by Australia with a 50 -year edition. Now it is Japan’s turn, albeit with a more complicated name: 50th anniversary special edition.

It is a three-in-one matter because customers can order the car as 318i, 320d or as high-performance M340i. Buyers can also choose between the limousine (G20) and the more practical tours (G21). BMW CAPS production at 710 units in the three variants and two body styles. The M -performance model is the rarest, only limited to five limousines and five cars. BMW Japan offers 400 limousines and 200 cars for the less gas model, while the diesel is limited to 50 vehicles per body style.

Compared to a standard 318i or 320d, the special edition contains a variety of upgrades. The highlights range from M-sports brake cheeters and 19-inch black wheels to black mirror caps with a high gloss (only limousines). The headlight, kidney grid and exhaust tips receive the Shadowline treatment for a darker, more aggressive appearance. Inside, BMW Japan improves the cabin with tinted glass, silver cladding and seat belts M brands. The diesel variant also benefits from Vernasca leather pad and the improved luxury instrument panel with double-well-well-founded seams.

For those who prefer more cylinders under the bonnet, the inline-Six-M340i is completed in sparkling graphite metallic. BMW adds a number of M parts, including a carbon front splinter and a rear spoiler. Black accents with high gloss, Alcantara knee points and silver interiors complete the upgrades.

Some of these functions are not available in a standard -3 series in Japan. BMW predicted a premium to the customer to put themselves at the tax of the 50th anniversary Special Limited Edition. The prices start at 6,980,000 ¥ ($ 47,300) for the 318i sedan and rise to 11,240,000 ° C (76,200 USD) for the M340i touring.

BMW has already taken orders in the land of the rising sun, whereby the deliveries are to begin in November. It is the latest in a long line of Japan-exclusive specials, such as the M3 MT Finale Edition, which was equipped in 2024 as the G80 manual.
