It was a relatively quiet summer in the BMW group with few product launches. Enthusiasts received the M2 CS Special Edition, but otherwise there were not many news. However, this is understandable because the most important model has been ahead of us for years. The new class returns in September. At the center of IAA mobility in 2025, the second generation IX3 will be the most important debut of the brand on the show in Munich.
However, the event is not about the opening companies Class Ev. BMW also intends to trigger “other new models” without going to details. It is unlikely that we will see a second large product launch because the IX3 steal the thunder or vice versa. The next generation’s 3 Series will only make their debut next year next to the full of Electric i3 limousines. Other important product launches planned for 2026 are the X5 of the next generation and an extensive 7-series series. Don’t look for one of these cars at IAA next month.
BMW says that the i4, i5 and i7 will be there next to the IX, X3 30e XDrive and the M5 tours. It is unclear whether we will see fresh variations of these cars or something completely different, but looking for BMW’s presence at the IAA mobility show to expand far beyond the new IX3. Mini takes part in the event to present “two striking JCW show cars”, while the motorcycle division is represented by CE 02 and CE 04. In addition, the motorcycle branch brings the vision CE as windows into the future of electric scooters.

Whatever the BMW group has in stock, we assume that most eyes will be on the IX3 anyway. The German luxury brand will organize a big show to highlight the innovations of the Electric Crossover. There will be demonstrations of the new Panorama IDrive on all six days of the event. In addition, it is planned to demonstrate bidirectional fees by converting the EV into a mobile power supply bank to supply a house or bring electricity back into the network.
The IAA mobility show begins on September 8th with the press day. However, we don’t have to wait until then to see the new IX3. BMW will lose the wraps from the new class EV on September 5. The NA5 is offered for sale in November. The first deliveries for customers are planned for the first quarter of next year.
