BMW i4 M60 appears on the company’s website with more electricity

It was a little more than a year since BMW gave the 4 Series Gran Coupé and i4 a life cycle impulse. However, there was no hardware changes for the sporty electrical version, the i4 M50. The M-Performance-Badged EV continued with 536 hp and 586 pound foot (795 Newton-Messen). A few months later, BMWblog Only reported on the possibility of a more powerful i4 M60. Now it’s official. Well, almost.

The i4 M60 performed quietly on the company’s Dutch website before the formal debut. Although the car is not yet configurable, it is listed in a table in addition to other versions. Ironically, the i4 M50 is still shown, although it is only a matter of time for BMW the older M performance model. The replacement delivers 593 hp, an increase of 57 hp. The torque remains unchanged at 586 pound foot (795 Newton meters).

The additional power runs two tenths of seconds in the sprint time. The new i4 M60 now reaches a standstill of 62 km/h/h in 3.7 seconds. The top speed remains electronically limited to 225 km/h. In addition to power and performance, there are further updates for the best -selling car from BMW M.

According to the Dutch website of BMW, the i4 M60 reaches a WLTP range from 432 to 551 kilometers (268 to 342 miles). This is a mixed bag: the predecessor model had a higher minimum range of 469 kilometers (291 miles), but a lower maximum of 319 miles (319 miles). Remarkably, the net capacity of the battery remains unchanged at 81.1 kWh, as is the maximum DC charging power of 205 kW.

The energy consumption of the new version is slightly higher at 21 to 16.6 kWh/100 km compared to 19.7 to 17.9 kWh/100 km in the outgoing model. A minor change is a weight reduction of 5 kilograms (11 pounds). In its Dutch configuration, the Gran Coupé of the new Electric M Performance 4 Series 4 Series weighs 2.285 kg (5.037 LBS).

There is also a slight improvement in the loading speed. In 10 minutes, the i4 M60 can add sufficient charge for 141 to 185 kilometers (88 to 115 miles), while the outgoing model managed 135 to 175 kilometers (84 to 109 miles). These numbers are also based on the WLTP test cycle.

Since BMW already updates regional websites to the i4 M60, an official unveiling is probably imminent.
