BMW increases around 2026 IX XDrive60 range to 364 miles

BMW has updated the IX for the 2026 model year, and the changes focus on improving design, performance and efficiency. The most remarkable update comes to the IX XDrive60, which now has an EPA estimated range of 364 miles when it is equipped with 20-inch aero wheels and summer tires. This is an increase of 7% compared to previous projections, which makes it one of the longest electric vehicles in its class.

The drive train in the XDRIVE60 was also revised. It now produces 536 hp and 564 LB-FT torque, which reduces the time from 0–60 miles per hour to 4.4 seconds. Despite the increase in performance, the charging specifications compared to the outgoing model remain unchanged. The XDRIVE60 and M70 still support a maximum DC fast-speed loader of 195 kW, while the XDRIVE45 is limited to 175 kW. BMW estimates that around 100 miles can be added in 12 minutes of DC load. Level 2 house load takes about 4.5 hours for a comparable increase.

Another quiet but important upgrade can be found in the M70 equipment, which now offers a maximum range of 303 miles – something of the previous 296 miles. This improvement is partially due to the use of silicium carbid (sic) semi -liners in the inverters of the vehicle. This is the first application of SIC components in the EV structure of BMW and reflects a wider trend in the industry to more efficient stream electronics.

The pricing has also shifted. The addition of a new basic cladding – XDRIVE45 – is the entry point of the IX by over 10,000 US dollars compared to the previous year. It now starts at 75,150 US dollars. The XDRIVE60 starts at $ 88,500 and the high-performance IX M70 at $ 111,500. All prices are made before the target fees that add 1,175 US dollars.

Overall, the 2026 IX list holds its familiar form, but improves in key areas. Area and performance see incremental profits and the pricing is accessible. The requirements and skills of the infrastructure in the infrastructure remain the same. Therefore, the daily experience for owners will largely unchanged-icers with a little more reach and acceleration on the barrel.
