BMW surprised us in February when it introduced a two -color X7 in Japan. Until then, only the 7 had divided a color between the upper and the lower body. While the Nishiki Lounge was originally a unique, the luxurious car manufacturer prompted a strong customer interest to rethink and offer the wasteful SUV for sale. However, you should act quickly. BMW only makes and they don’t get cheap.
BMW Japan also calculates 5,500,000 yen ($ 37,230) in addition to the basic price of the X7. Customers can mix several color combinations if they either configure the XDRIVE40D or the X7 M60i. The diesel begins at 14,380,000 yen (97,000 US dollars), while the M performance model begins with 18,200,000 yen (123,000 US dollars). This is up to the usual options and the special color surcharge.
This additional fee offers more than just a double color application. This limited X7 will approach the concept of the Nishiki Lounge and is equipped with exclusive trim elements that have never been seen before on a production BMW. Buyers can choose from 12 traditional patterns, which contain foil decoration via the dashboard, the center console and the door panels.

To sweeten the pot, the luxurious SUV has new floor mats in various colors of Kawashima Selkon Textile, a Kyoto-Basis manufacturer founded in 1843. The X7 Nishiki Lounge is only available via dealers because the configuration process is not offered online. You will probably want to visit an exhibition room anyway to personally check the samples of the available colors and interiors.
It will be interesting to see whether BMW is expanding the two -colored treatment beyond Japan. It could be too late for the current “G07”, but we would not rule it out for the upcoming “G67”. The second generation X7 is due in 2027 with petrol, diesel and electrical drive strands as well as versions of ICE and SEB setups.
