BMW is determined to revise almost its entire portfolio in the next few years. By the end of 2027, more than 40 models of the next generation and written models will be launched, with all the fresh design language of the 2026 IX3. Regardless of what is located under the bonnet, each car will take over the new look. This includes BMW’s entry-level crossovers, with both the X1 and the IX1 intended for a no-class glow-up.
A new speculative rendering attempt to see the future of the BMW entry-X model. While the design changes are dramatic, digital exercise is not just a shot in the dark. Prototypes of the IX1 have already been discovered, which apparently have hidden great improvements. We assume that Munich endeavors to align most of its products with the new class styling of the IX3 in a short time.
We start to ask ourselves whether the compact luxury crossover will skip the usual life cycle impulse and go directly to the next generation. It would not be the first BMW in recent years to take this route. Some of them will remember that the X5 (F15) of the previous generation (F15) also missed the LCI. Although the rendering imagines the full electrical IX1, the regular X1 will require the same changes.

At the beginning of this year at the CES, the BMW group leader of Design Adrian van Hooydonk told us that the NEE class design on the combustion engine and electric cars would be reflected: “I think they will be tough [from a distance] To recognize which the electrical is and which is the combustion engine. It will be so close. “
That makes sense. BMW has always been concerned that there should be no significant design differences between gas and electric cars. The current X1 and IX1 look practically identical, apart from small changes such as another grid pattern. This strategy will go into the era of the new class and extend to technology such as iDrive X, which was created by the brand new IX3 pioneering work.
The extent of the updates of the X1/IX1 is also reflected in the Langwallenbase model, which is sold in selected markets. In addition, the slim X2/IX2 with its coupé roof line will inherit the new look. All of these models receive slim vertical kidneys that were first used in 1933 in the 303 medium -sized sedan.
