The BMW IX3 may look like another SUV in the line -up, but do not make a mistake – this is a turning point in the history of BMW. More than an electrical SUV represents a strategic setback for the brand, which signals how the next decade of driving looks, feels and connects. After all, it is the biggest investment that BMW ever made with over 10 billion euros. Here are the five biggest reasons why the IX3 will change forever.

4. Bidirectional fees on a scale
BMW and E.ON use the IX3 to start the first commercial vehicle-to-network program in Germany. For the first time, the owners can put energy back into the network and possibly earn money and at the same time stabilize renewable power grids. This also transforms the IX3 into a mobile energy storage unit.
